When you read something that you`ve read all your life it becomes common to you, and you recite it without even thinking about the words. I was reading this chapter the other day, and when i actually thought about it, i realized how awesome it was. When you are in a relationship with someone there are these unwritten rules that are the "do`s" and "dont`s" that everyone follows. If the person you`re with does something to make you mad, or doesn`t respond to you the way you wanted them too, or just does something to annoy you than you have every right to punish them or do it right back to them. When you do that all you`re thinking about is what you`re getting out of the relationship and what "you" want and need. It`s selfish. And it`s human nature to respond that way, but maybe we should challenge ourselves to remember these words, and to live by them. This really pertains to every relationship, not just one having to do with a couple. It`s the way you should handle everyone that you come in contact with, or at least try too.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, it is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
I have way too much homework tonight, and I`m incredibly unmotivated.
I`m feeling really lonely tonight. I need someone to go out and have fun and laugh with. Or someone to cuddle with, that sounds even better. lol. However, I can and will be fine just the way I am. I am in not in a mad search to find a "significant other". But sometimes you just need someone close to you, loving you with the same love that you feel for them.
Enough self pity ramblings, off to homework. Right now I`m writing and illustrating a children`s book for my Creative Writing class. It`s actually pretty fun. It`s due tomorrow, so I better get moving!
